The egg shell will slowly break after 12-24 hours and your unicorn will emerge. Be sure to keep the container full of water. The egg shell will break. Once the egg shell is broken entirely, then you should add fresh water to the container. Your unicorn will continue expanding for 24-48 hours. After 48 hours, you might like to move your unicorn to a larger container and watch it grow daily.

The child will learn patience as they will have to learn to wait. The unicorn does not seem to grow immediately. So the child will experience the anticipation of the egg hatching.
